Hi there. The Salt Town Poets are doing a Poetry & Pints/Open Mic spot at the Boar's Head on Saturday afternoon, 1pm onwards. We'd be delighted to see you

I'm wondering whether Tanglefoot will be on the list - I know they are over here at that time - they are playing a gig in Poynton on Friday June 19th.

This promises to be a great gig on Novembner 1. Ashley and the Rainbow Chasers don't play live that often and they now have a new line-up with Joe Topping  taking over from Mark Hutchinson. And with support from JP Slidewell this has to be a concert not to miss. Not an official MFAB gig, but all proceeds from the raffle will come to the Festival. If you haven't got tickets yet you can pay on the door. See you there.

Don't worry! Of course we'll tell you who is scheduled for MFAB2009 as soon as can contractually do so.
The reason Earliestbird tickets (and after them Earlybird tickets) are such amazing value is because you don't know yet who is playing and people deserve a super discount for trusting us to come up with a line-up everyone will love.

I've just read the newsletter, and I can't really understand the " Only YOU will discover the headline acts for MFAB2009 ahead of the normal information release in February/March" bit.

If you know the headline acts for next year, then the best way to encourage people to buy the EarlyBird tickets is to get that information into the public domain as soon as possible.  I can understand waiting until the Rainbow Chasers gig to announce this as you'll have the EarliestBird ticket offer for concert goers, but to then hold onto the information until a general release in Feb/Mar is just daft.

If you know who is playing then you should really tell us as soon as you (contractually) can!!!

Box Fox (solo or with friends)
The Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain

Thanks for confirming the dates - I've now pencilled in the MFAB Festival for next year!

Any chance of getting the wonderful Colvin Quarmby on the bill?

...To this end can you please post the dates for 2009, because I can't work out whether the festival will start on the 12th or 19th June next year.  Huh
Apologies for the slow response (time I nagged the committee to spend more time here)!  Embarrassed

MFAB 2009 will be starting on Friday 19th June ...
