Sunday Funday Fundraiser

On SUNDAY MAY 3, in the middle of the coming Bank Holiday weekend, we’re staging a fund-raising Fun Day around the town.

The idea is to publicise the Festival, raise some money, and provide entertainment for the people of Middlewich. All the venues will be holding raffles or just having collections to put some cash into our kitty for the main event in June.

Entertainment includes music, dance and poetry. Artists taking part will include Calico Jack, The Weavils, Acoustak, Michelle Martin, Vicki and Trefor Williams, Tom Doughty, Hayley Strangelove, Stan’s Magic Foot, Dave Dove, Dom Collins, Jonathan Tarplee, Salt Town Poets, Charlotte Bailey, Dr Bob and the Wildboys, the Lizzettes, the Murfitt Family, Richard Devaney and the Earl of Stamford Morris.

Venues during the day include the Kings Lock – where the day starts at 12, Cheshire Cheese, White Horse, Narrowboat, Kandi Bar, Golden Lion, Kinderton Hotel, Boars Head and the Big Lock, where the day ends when everybody’s had enough. All entertainment is free, and there will also be a funfair at the Big Lock all weekend for the children.

Everyone is welcome, and if you feel like bringing an instrument and joining in then please do. It’s totally informal.
